Mid-course correction

When a case is flagged for intervention, SmartSTL captures the new records remotely — no in-office scan required.

Refinement

When a patient reaches their last aligner and a refinement is needed, the remote scan replaces the in-office IOS — request it straight through the Spark DTX platform.

Retention

When a patient transitions to retention, SmartSTL generates the retention records remotely — another visit that no longer needs to happen.

How SmartSTL AI Achieves Sub-Millimeter Precision

Surface Detail — The intraoral (IO) scan provides the ultra-high-resolution surface data of each individual tooth.

Target Guidance — The latest Spark stage file informs the AI of intended tooth position targets.

Spatial Geolocation & Reconstitution — The DentalMonitoring smartphone scan identifies key 3D anatomical landmarks to geolocate actual tooth coordinates in space, then maps and reconstitutes the high-resolution IO surface mesh onto those exact positions to generate the new STL file.
